Christmas Time!!

ITS CHRISTMAS!!! seriously, Christmas is upon us.. in fact, one week from today and it will be the day after.....Snow, Coats, Gingerbread Houses, Letters to Santa... all of the things that seem to make the season go round, right? Last week we made gingerbread houses... it was fun sitting around the table trying to put our creativity to work... and so funny how we all have different thoughts on how our own will turn out. Each of the kids paired up with an adult.... Domi and Lexi with Gramma Debbi, Andrew with Daddy and Steven with me.... it was fun... messy but fun. and, surprisingly, the icing wasnt too bad.... there goes the diet, right?? heehee i was definitely worse than the kids... between (accidentally ;) ;) ) piping the icing on my fingers and sneaking a gumdrop here and there... rofl... we surprisingly had enough for all the houses. i dont even remember the kids sneaking any of the treats that garnished the houses... maybe that is because i was too busy trying to make sure that nobody caught me... HA! they did split up some of the candy that was left over though.... so much fun!!

can you say inappropriate? so, what kind of an example am i? i rock at being a mom... between chucking the remote at the wall, cussing like a sailor or having my family ask what casualties came out of the bathroom after throwing my curling iron, blowdryer, brush and anything else in sight at the wall......on top of that, all of the kids were crying and worried that mom was gonna put graphic, vulgar signs outside the house..... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! So, what is the method to my madness.... A STUPID SNOWMAN... yes, you heard me correctly. You know, you see the fun yard displays that people have outside of their homes... well, we bought this really cute snowman, he was really tall and had a snowglobe for his tummy... well, we put him out last night, and steve and jeff replaced the lights with new colorful ones. So, our house was looking festive and happy for the holidays. well, that is, until the slasher paid a visit to our house. and as much as i would love to just throw the snowman, who now fashions 3 2-foot long gashes to his stomach, and tell everybody that i am fine and that it is just a stupid snowman... but for some reason it makes me soo damn angry and almost breaks my spirit to the point that i wouldnt mind if my hubby takes down the christmas lights that he just put up last night and call it good. I wish I were the kind of person who wouldnt mind taking things lightly and being ok when shit happens, because a stupid snowman isnt gonna make a difference when it comes to my eternal salvation, right? but after a couple of shitty things, i dont know why i should take it and be fine with it. although i guess that nothing will stop it from happening, right? anyway, i will stop venting, but only for a minute. As far as everything goes, I just want to thank you-those of you who arent afraid of having a psycho friend.... you definitely found one in me... thanks for putting up with the ups and downs.... and pessimism..... its fun isnt it??

ok, so i am hanging out with ric and nicole at their house... and it is fabulous. with our puters side by side i am listening to them try to figure out itunes.OOOPS!! Nicole just purchased 2 cds that she didnt mean too... DAMN I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!, and of course steve is sound asleep on the couch....ok, so it is 1:30am... it is great fun. we are actually transferring the muzac from nicole's computer to my computer, and it says that we have 4 hours to go AHHHHHH!!! hey that isnt too bad considering that when we started there was about 5 hours and 40 minutes to go... YIKES!! anyway, we went to carrabas for dinner... can you say yumm?? woohoo... thank heavens for family and good food and dining, eh? The chicken bryan is definitely worth the drive to provo, and when you have great company it makes it even better!!! anyway, happy weekend greetings~~:)

Fabulous Fright

ok, so this has been an amazing weekend... I can hardly believe that it is coming to a close. Here it is Saturday evening.... ok, Sunday morning, but since we hafta turn the clock back in a couple of hours I will claim that it is still Saturday. So, tonight, we had our annual halloween party... it was very nice. It actually started right about the time that I was planning on having it start.... AMAZING, RIGHT??? Seeing as how I NEVER manage to start anything on time. I have to send a HUMONGOUS shout out to everybody who helped to make it a success... thanks for bringing food and drink and making yummy soups. And OF COURSE.... MOM, YOU ROCK!! the relay race is always the hit of the party!!! I really do appreciate all of the wonderful family that I have (my friends are counted as family man!!)!!! Thank you so much for putting up with me and getting me through these #*%%# times... it has been hard.... and i am trying to see how it will make me stronger or make it all worth it some how, but you will all get me through, right? I am counting on it at this point. heehee Just Kidding!! ok, enough drama. I just wanted you to know that you all mean very much to me. THANKS!!! and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! welcome november!!
